The Religious Education Program at St. Thomas More is a family-focused faith formation program founded on the principle that parents are primary to the religious formation of their children. As such, the program strives to promote a family-centered effort in the formation of Christian values by acknowledging the uniqueness of each family member as well as each family system; by presenting the central truths and traditions of the Apostolic Church in a shared learning environment; and through its ongoing commitment to support family life, peace and justice. Its mission is to build a genuine and inclusive faith community in which young people can experience their Catholic identity, integrate their Catholic values, and express their Catholic beliefs.
Inspired by the gospel, the “good news” of all the wonderful things that God has done for us in and through Jesus Christ, the program strives to engage individuals in an ongoing conversation and conversion to God. Its vision is to “put people not only in touch, but also in communion and intimacy with Jesus Christ”.
